Documented By Love
is an Action Network working on issues related to documentation of immigrants, Sanctuary churches; educating ourselves, our churches, Annual Conferences and Jurisdiction on issues; providing resources.
We are reminded that the immigrant deportation in the USA is NOT a new problem. The Director of CAUSA in Salem, OR, commented that Trump is just carrying out Obama's policies but using much more vitriolic language. OK, it got my attention, and I have learned much from our work together.
We have three things to offer in this May-June WMJM Newsletter:
1) Join our NETWORK 4th Tuesdays, 9 am PST;
2) Celebrate INTERNATIONAL REFUGEE DAY on June 20 (worship resources on PDF below);
3) Ideas for workshops for your AC or area.

JUNE 20 is International Refugee Day. This is NOT a new day – see the website for information is www.un.org and then check resources. For GREAT WORSHIP RESOURCES check the website is http://www.ccm and then go to the section on "Commemorate Persons who Lost their lives on their way to seek safety. The CCME resource is Euro-centered but can be adapted to the US situation and/or used as part of the education about the global issues of immigration.

This workshop will be led in a Peacemaking Circle format.
Sanctuary Training: Building a Sanctuary Community | 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Led by Kristin Kumpf, team members Rev. Lyda Pierce, Rev. Jorge Rodrigues, and Claudia Roberts.
From the most ancient biblical period….Those fleeing persecution and those most in need have sought sanctuary with Christians. At this workshop, we will explore practical helps and resources as we walk through the process of learning how to begin the Sanctuary process and build relationships cross-culturally.
